Title Insurance

When financing a property Lenders typically require a lender’s title insurance policy to ensure that their security interest in the property is secure. The lender’s title insurance policy only protects the lender’s interest, but Excalibur Title and Escrow also offers an owners title insurance policy to protect the new property owner from many of the risks that occur.  Please call our office and we can provide you with detailed information about what an Owner’s Title Insurance Policy is and what it covers.

Offices and Off-site Services

Excalibur Title and Escrow is committed to providing excellent customer service. An important element of customer service is ensuring that the closing is a convenient and pleasant experience. In order to achieve that convenience for your client, we offer off-site closing services and our settlement agents will close your transaction where ever you need us. We provide the same level of care and professionalism closing at our office, the borrower’s home or place of employment, or at their realtor’s or lender’s office.

We pride ourselves on preparing and conducting your closings smoothly and efficiently. Excalibur Title & Escrow maintains three offices for your convenience. Our main office is located in Frederick, Maryland where our processing, title plant and all mail should be directed.  We can conduct settlements in any of our three locations or if you prefer we are happy to settle at another location such as your realtor’s office for a purchase or sale transaction or in the case of a refinance your home or workplace is OK with us.  We offer power of attorney services in case you are out of town, perhaps in the military and stationed away from home or a family emergency has called you away.  If it’s not possible for all parties to be present for closing we have solutions.  Excalibur Title & Escrow can provide approved power of attorney documents and services to solve the problem.  Our off-site closings at locations mutually convenient to all parties to the transaction is just one way we can help you get to the settlement table with less stress.

Power of Attorney
In those circumstances where an individual who is needed to sign documents at closing cannot be present or is otherwise unable to sign, for your convenience our closing attorney can prepare a Power of Attorney for a nominal fee.
